WHO, WHAT, WHERE,
WHEN & HOW

of the Big Lake Library
ADVOCATES

Our Mission since we first began in 1992:

The Big Lake Library Advocates is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization

committed to raising awareness & funding for the different programs at

the Big Lake Public Library that are not covered

by regular funding from the Mat-Su Borough.

Through advocacy, fundraising & volunteering,

we also raise awareness of our Public Library's role

as a resource that fosters a vibrant community among all ages

in the Big Lake, Houston & Meadow Lakes (Alaska) area.

We meet once a month (first Monday, at 3 PM, unless otherwise posted)

at the Big Lake Public Library Meeting Room.

Encouraging lifelong learning is at our core,

and a healthy Public Library is at the core

of a healthy & strong community.

Why

do we Fundraise for the
Big Lake Library?

The Big Lake Public Library

is a beloved resource for our community,

& it needs our help to raise funds for resources to run the different programs that help make the Big Lake, Houston & Meadow Lakes (Alaska) area

a great place to call home.
